Relationship Violence Awareness Month 2016

Please join the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Response (OSAPR) for any or all of our events and activities designed to provide environments supportive of diverse experiences & backgrounds, authentic to an individual’s healing process, and conducive to relational & communal empowerment. Yoga for Restoration  Wednesdays, October 5 & 19 @ 12PM 


Join us for restorative yoga sessions that will consist of conscious breathing exercises, accessible physical movements, and guided meditation. An advocate will be present to provide support. Mats and blocks are available, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please register here


Candlelight Vigil (Statue Park, Davis Square) Wednesday, October 5 @ 6PM 


The Somerville Commission for Women invites the community to come together in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to domestic violence over the past year. In addition , there will be a display of the Clothesline Project, honoring survivors as well as victims of violence. 


Making Relationships a Verb: What Works For You?  SERIES: Thursdays, October 6, 13, 20, & 27 @ 5:30PM 


Relationships can be many things: comforting, fabulous, complex—even undefined. No matter the label or type, we can all grow our understanding of ourselves, ourselves with others, and the challenges that arise when it’s hard to be our best. Explore who you want to be in your relation-ships, and develop some (more) tools for making them mutual, respectful, and supportive. Sign up here

Express your solidarity with survivors of relationship violence and raise awareness by wearing or displaying purple. Share a photo using the hashtag #PurpleThursday. 



Sexual Literacy Trivia Night, Cambridge Queen's Head Pub  Friday, October 21, 8pm


Harvard’s first advice column on sex, sexual health, relationships, & consent wants you to get smart about sex with our relationship-themed trivia. All genders, sexual orientations, and preferences are welcome. Come with friends or all on your own. Prizes will be awarded to the winners!
